Juniors in Year 1 & 2 we want you!

The UWA Hockey Club one of the biggest hockey clubs in the metropolitan area.

We have over 525 junior players at present and are in the process of preparing for the upcoming junior season  commencing on April 30th, 2016.

We field teams in all age groups from mixed teams in Year 1 and 2, thru to Year 11 and 12 in boys and girls teams.

We are still looking for players in the year 1 and 2 age groups, and need Goal keepers for our Yr 11/12 A  and A reserve girls teams.

We couldn’t manage with out the active involvement of our supportive parents, who act as managers and coaches for our teams.

The Talent Accelerant Program has become a key component of HWA's High Performance Program, ensuring opportunities for a broader group of athletes are in place to access High Performance support and exposure, and an opportunity to accelerate athlete development and to support targeted long term development areas in the off-season.

2015/16 TAP Expression of Interests are now open.

Nominations close: 5pm Thursday the 10th September 2015.

Under 12's Champs on at the Superturf

The Superturf facility is hosting the National U12 SSWA boys and girls hockey championships from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August (rest day Wednesday). Both turfs will be used all week with games from 7.30am to 4pm each day. We are expecting about 400 players and supporters each day - the first day was a roaring success with a full support crew, food and drink aplenty! The WA boys had a convincing 6-1 win over Tasmania and the girls had a hard fought draw with Queensland.

The club is hosting the visitors and operating a canteen for players, parents and officials. Kerry Gallagher and Craig Boyce have arranged a group of volunteer parents who are planning a food extravaganza for the week. Mooba Coffee will also be in attendance.

If you get time why not come down and watch a few games.
