Covid Update: 27 June 2021

Published Sun 27 Jun 2021

Hi All

UWA Hockey Club follows the advice from our State Government and Health advisors. With this recent announcement today, we will be following these procedures.

In short, Community Sport may continue with a maximum of 150 people at the venue. Maintain the 2m social distancing where possible and wear a mask indoors.

We will continue to keep you updated as new information arises.

See the message below from our Premier,  Mark McGowan.

Covid Update: June 27th, 2021

"As part of restrictions introduced today following the detection of a local case of COVID-19, masks are mandatory in certain public settings for at least the next three days.

Specifically, masks are required in all indoor public places (including workplaces and on public transport) and in any outdoor settings where it isn’t possible to remain physically distanced from others.

The same exemptions to this apply as in previous instances where masks were required, with children in primary school or younger and people with certain disabilities.

Masks can be removed for seated patrons to eat and drink, and in certain other situations such as teachers presenting to a class.

These requirements also continue to apply to anyone who has been in Perth and Peel from today while traveling to any other part of the State.

Most importantly, please use common sense, and take a mask with you whenever you go out.

We’ve done this before, and we can do it again – let’s get through this WA."

Stay safe, maintain good hygiene practices and be patient and respectful of the new restrictions as they are introduced.
